Connect Bharat was a great experience to learn about different organizations that are doing amazing work in remote regions. What I really liked about the 5 days trip was that change-makers from different walks of life were participating, yet felt the connection in 1 common belief - to learn and nurture self and others. View of Himalayas is something that I will cherish for a long time and am truly thankful to Connect Bharat for such memories. Overall, I would highly recommend to be a part of connect Bharat experience for the people involved and the places you will visit and learn.

ConnectBharat made me realize the power of individual agency through making me actually witness the practical work taken by social change agents many years ago. I saw the positivity on the rural ground work, in each rural person because of few men who believed in not in just talking of the problem but in taking actions and trusting the potential of these people. This trip of course restores faith in humanity and motivated me to work in rural setting.

But from the first day, it turned out to be not just a trip in mountains. The travel companions were great people with so many useful insights from their respective social sectors, and in 5 days we discussed challenges and solutions, experienced ground work of different organizations, and most importantly build a network of very different people bringing brilliant ideas of nation building.”

It was an uplifting experience having visited various sustainable social impact models being run in the valleys of Kumaon. The exposure to the challenges and excitement of rural life in the mountains provided a fresh perspective to approach sustainable development within a community from.Being associated with the education sector and working with it as a social impact tool I'm really looking forward to more such experiences involving various other landscapes.
