Connect Bharat is a 5 day rural odyssey with an underlying theme to "Connect, Communicate and Change". It is a journey of life time which can help realize the potential of participants, channelize the energy within and implement the ideas with other likeminded people. This year, the journey will be conducted in Uttarakhand from 23 rd September to 27 th September 2018.
No separate charges are for the accommodation and food. If you wish to eat from local outlets/eateries, you will have to pay for the same.
Connect Bharat aim is to connect people to work on innovative ideas for community building and sustainable development with collaborative approach. Hence staying alone is not allowed in this 5 day journey. You will be sharing accommodation with other participants.
Travelling in Himalayas is completely safe during the program. The journey will be maximum at 7000 ft, and hence height is not of much concern. The terrains are extremely beautiful and the duration is precisely chosen for the comfort of all
The weather of mountains will be cold (not extremely) hence it is advised that you pack the woollens with you. Since there will be travelling in the hilly areas, it would be better if you don’t bring trolleys, rather get backpacks with you.
Candidates in the age group of 21-35 years can apply for this journey. Students are encouraged to apply as they can get a better guidance and idea for shaping their career.
Most of the session’s language will be English or Hindi. English is not a hindrance with this program.
Once you are on-board, you will be required to follow the schedule as per the program. You cannot de- board on your wish unless you have any medical emergency or urgency at home. Once verified by our team members you will be de-boarded to nearest railway station / Bus stand.
Emergency contact details are required to contact or inform your near and dear ones in case of any emergency or health issues.
We will be travelling in beautiful terrain of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The complete details will be shared with the selected participants.
ConnectBharat 2018 has limited number of seats. Hence, selection is very selective. You need to fill the registration form very diligently as the selection is largely dependent on this. The candidates selected on the basis of registration will receive a call from the selection team and based upon the telephonic interview, final list of candidates will be declared.
The journey itself is a reward which can change your life. Certificate of participation will be provided on the last day of Journey.
This is not a start-up competition, but an event with abundance of real time experience. Hence, you will not receive any cash prize.
Since this journey doesn’t require much of physical exercise, it is not a point of concern, unless you are not comfortable in moving up & down in the hilly areas.
Travelling will be through buses. Motion sickness can happen to those who are not acclimatized to Himalayan terrain travelling. But don’t worry we have experts who can help you with the same.
Vegetarian Indian cuisines will be served in Breakfast, lunch and Dinner. There can be times, when you will receive home cooked delicious local specialities during the stay.
